Sensory SEN Science Workshop

Our Sensory SEN Science Workshop is a calm, welcoming space designed specifically for children with special education needs (SEN). This relaxed club creates a quiet environment where creativity and hands-on science experiments come together in a fun, low-pressure setting. Through activities like making sherbert, creating potions and exploring simple scientific experiments, children will have the opportunity to develop fine motor skills while engaging their imagination.

Our sessions focus on gentle guided activities that encourage exploration and self-expression without the rush. Children will use tools and materials to create, mix, and experiment, allowing them to develop fine motor coordination and problem-solving abilities. Whether it's stirring a bubbling potion, stretching slime, or combining ingredients to create something new, these hands-on experiences offer sensory engagement that fosters both learning and creativity.

In addition to individual exploration, the club emphasises teamwork and social connection. Children will have the chance to work together on projects, build friendships, and learn the value of collaboration through fun and engaging group activities. It's a safe space for children to feel a sense of belonging within the SEN community, supporting one another as they explore the wonders of science through play and teamwork.

Led by experienced Scientists and a trained SEN support mentor, the sessions are tailored to meet each child's individual needs, ensuring a positive and inclusive experience for everyone.
